The Screening Mammography Program is here to serve the women of B.C. We try to make it easy for all women to take advantage of this life-saving service.

Finding a Health Care Provider
You need to give us the name of a health care provider in order to book an appointment. If you don't have a health care provider here are your options.
 
Language Needs

  • Some of our key materials are translated into Chinese and Punjabi.
  • Information on "who is eligible" and "how to book" is available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Punjabi, Farsi and Korean.
  • The centres have translated instructions in several languages to help women during the exam.
  • Some centres have front-line staff who speak several languages.
  • We have a Punjabi phone-line: 604-877-6163 where you can call and leave a message. A booking clerk who speaks Punjabi will return your call.

Mobile Van Services
Our mobile van services go to many rural locations, including First Nations reserves to help reach the more isolated women in B.C.

Block Bookings
Many centres will arrange for block bookings - so that women can come as a group.
